Obituary of Cathryn Nicole Margetts

Cathryn (Cat) Nicole Margetts, beloved daughter of Nelson and Jerrilyn Margetts of Calgary, passed away suddenly at home with her companion German Shepherd, Adamie, on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the age of 27 years. Cathryn attended and graduated from Chestermere High School. She was loved and adored by all who knew her. Cathryn started Barking Mad Dog Service, which became a very successful business. Besides training and grooming dogs, Cathryn could often be seen walking up to fourteen dogs at a time. She was very caring and thoughtful to both her clients and pets. Cathryn also started another successful business, Uncle Otis’ Cookies. She was a wine connoisseur, who enjoyed fine dining and family gatherings. Besides her loving parents, Cathryn is remembered by her brother and sister-in-law Shaun and Penny; nephews, Mackenzie and Griffyn; niece Cicelly; loving grandparents, Victoria (Nana) and Eugene Volk, and Gerard (Gerry) Margetts, all of Calgary; forever loved by her godparents, Hank and Diane Bakker; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Cathryn was predeceased by her nephew Solomon and grandmother Betty Margetts. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 2:30 P.M., with Dr. Phil Nordin of the Jubilee Christian Centre officiating.
