Obituary of Robert Henry Gariepy
Robert Henry Gariepy, beloved husband of Marsha Gariepy of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Friday, May 21, 2004, after a courageous fight with Multiple Myeloma, at the age of 61 years.
Robert was born in Brighton, Sussex, England and immigrated with his family to Canada as a youngster in 1945. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1963 and proudly served for twenty-five years. In 1989, Robert joined the Calgary School Board where he worked for the past fifteen years. Robert touched the lives of everyone he met and was a devoted family man, good friend and companion. He will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew him.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marsha; son Darryl; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Kirk Regan; and grandchildren, Britta, Ellie, Jayman, and Quinn. He will also be lovingly missed by his brothers, Mike (Marge) of Comox, BC and Bill of Richmond, BC; sister-in-law Margaret (Tom) Johnson; brother-in-law Billy (Frances) Sneddon of North Bay; cousins, Betty Perry and Jean Clack, both of England; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Maude (Perry) Gariepy.
Bobby loved this little verse and I know he would want to share it with all:
A Daily Wish For You
More gladness than sadness,
More laughter than pain
More blessings than troubles
More sunshine than rain.
