Obituary of Randy Gordon Rainsforth

Randy Rainsforth, beloved husband of Sherry of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the age of 53 years. Randy was born on October 18, 1950 in Berwyn, AB. Randy, the son of an Air Force Pilot, attended schools throughout the country during his formative years and eventually obtained his Bachelor of Commerce, M.B.A. and C.G.A. at the University of Calgary. He was an avid sports enthusiast, gifted athlete and coach. Throughout his career, Randy worked in a number of businesses, such as Oil and Gas companies, colleges and as CFO for the City of Leduc, AB and Vice-President of Finance and CFO for Global Link Data Solutions Inc. Randy and Sherry travelled extensively throughout the world with friends and had many adventures. Besides his loving wife Sherry, Randy is also survived by his parents, Chuck and Ruth; sister and brother-in-law, Arli and Vic Klassen; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kit and Gayle, Rex and Corinne, and Kelly Rainsforth. He is also survived by father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Loretta Tofin; brother and sisters-in-law, Len Jr. (Derine), Kelly (Brad), and Nancy (Lindsay) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
