Obituary of Rosalyn June Ward

Rosalyn June Ward, beloved wife of Mr. Tony Ward of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2004 at the age of 48 years. Rosalyn was born on December 27, 1955 in Cape Town, South Africa and immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings in 1965. Besides her loving husband, Rosalyn, who was a very devoted mother, is also survived by her children, Michael and Katie Claiter of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer and Brad Kearl of Chestermere, and Jamie Claiter, Scott Claiter and Daniel Claiter, all of Calgary; two stepchildren, Ryan Ward of Red Deer, AB and Kassandra Ward of Calgary; a precious granddaughter Ava Rose Kearl; and her father Bob Smith of Calgary. She is also survived by her siblings, Annette and Sydney Trollip of Calgary, Gwen Matheny of Mesa, AZ, Eleanor and David Maller, Lorraine Mullen, Brenda and Val Dean Pierson, all of Calgary, Bob Smith of Spokane, WA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Smith. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (7017 California Boulevard North East) on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Donald McAllister officiating.
