Obituary of Chiara Alexander

Chiara Alexander of Calgary passed away at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at the age of 80 years. Chiara was born on September 4, 1923 in Italy and immigrated to Canada when she was a child. She had resided in Trail, BC where she was married. Chiara had been a long time resident of Calgary and life time member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church. She was a long term employee of T. Eaton and Co. Chiara was involved in volunteer work with many organizations and with St. John Ambulance. She will be remembered by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Paulette Alexander of Calgary, and the Rev. Fr. Dennis Alexander of Puerto Rico; two grandchildren, Belinda Alexander, and Steen (Dana) Alexander all of Calgary; and two great-granddaughters, Caitlyn and Hailey Alexander. She is also survived by her three sisters, Jo Besso of Rossland BC, Rena Maggs of Victoria, BC, Olga Sinton of Trail, BC; and a brother Jimmy Meiorin of Genelle, BC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chiara was predeceased by her brother Leo Meiorin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with her son, the Rev. Fr. Dennis Alexander, Presider.
