Obituary of Mildred Christina Greenan

Mildred Christina Greenan (nee Caseley) of Calgary passed away, surrounded by her family, at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Sunday, April 25, 2004, after a brief illness at the age of 83 years. “A mother’s love is like a circle, it has no beginning and no ending.” Mildred was born on January 6, 1921 in Spring Valley, PEI. She married Vernon in 1943 in Montreal, QC. They then moved to Newton, PEI and together they had ten children. After the death of her husband, Millie and her younger children moved to Calgary in 1971. Our Millie will always be lovingly remembered for her great sense of humour, her unconditional love and devotion to her family and her home-made raisin bread and cookies. She will be greatly missed by the many people whose hearts she had touched. Millie is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law and six daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Randy Desabrais, Mary and Dene Gardner, Janice and John Tiberio, Donna and Frank Shreenan, and Harry and Darlene Greenan, all of Calgary, Pearl and Derrill Murphy of Castle Mountain, Ken and Brenda Greenan of Edmonton, Wayne Greenan of Toronto, Ron and Clair Greenan of Dartmouth, and Bev and Errol Howard of Kensington, PEI; eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon Greenan in 1967 and daughter-in-law Diane Greenan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (15 Templebow Road N.E.) on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Rupert A. MacLellan, Presider.
