Obituary of Gerald Oliver Adams

Gerald Adams, beloved husband of Mary Jane of Calgary, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Gerry grew up in Winnipeg, MB and lived in Regina, SK and Burlington, ON during his twenty-seven year career with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. He retired to Calgary in 1987. He enjoyed curling, hiking, skiing, cycling, golfing and bridge. During his younger years he was an avid sailor. He was actively involved in volunteering for the 1988 Olympics, World Police/Fire Games and the Calgary Police Services, South Centre Station. For the last fifteen years Gerry was researching his family history, which his family will treasure for generations to come. Gerry is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Mary Jane; his three children, Mitch (Lorrie) of Calgary, John (Lynda) of Grimsby, ON, and Marsha (Mark) of Calgary; his grandchildren, Karrie, Jennifer, Chris, Steve, Cameron, Daniel, and Mark. He will be missed by his brother Bob Adams; niece Leslie (Doug) and nephew Bill (Terry) and their families.
