Obituary of Delbert Allen Novlan
Delbert Allen Novlan, cherished and beloved husband of Lorna Novlan of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, April 23, 2004 at the age of 56 years.
Del was born on August 13, 1947 in St. Walburg, SK. He not only devoted his time and energy to his family but he also volunteered as a Hockey Coach in Winnipeg, MB, an Archery Coach in Pilot Butte, SK, leader with Boy Scouts of Canada in Edmonton, AB and a active member of the Calgary Rock and Lapidary Club. Del loved camping within Alberta and rock hounding in the United States.
Besides his loving wife Lorna, Del will be missed by his three children, Michael and Debbie, Sarah-Lynn and Jason and Matthew; his two precious grandchildren Riley and Liam. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Lavern (Irene), Jerome (Janice), Carol (David) Bonli, and Gail; in-laws, Norman and Marguerite Kidd; Pat and Floyd Sales; Thelma and Jim Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev Jack Pereira, Presider.
