Obituary of Ian Moses Rose
Ian Moses Rose passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Foothills Medical Centre, with his family by his side, at the age of 61 years
Ian was born on March 9, 1943 and grew up in Montreal, QC, living and breathing a strong passion for sports, particularly baseball. He never lost his interest in sports nor his love for his legendary Montreal Canadiens. His absence is felt by all who knew him and loved him so much.
Ian is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Susan; his three sons and daughter-in-law, Robert, Mark and Ria, and David; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Kayden Noah and Aaliayh Chayah, all of Calgary. Also mourning are Ian’s niece Debbie (Brad) Abrahamson and their daughters of Vancouver, BC; his nephew Morley (Shannon) Rose of Toronto, ON; his parents-in-law, Ray and Martina Carpenter of Calgary; brothers-in-law, Barry Carpenter of Toronto, ON and Bob (Pat) Carpenter of Edmonton; as well as family in Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON and Los Angeles, CA; special family friends, Emma and Dianne; and life-long friend Michael Sandler. Ian was predeceased by his parents, Robert in 1967 and Betty in 1994; and his brother Harvey in 1996.
