Obituary of Rose Swartz

Rose Swartz of Calgary, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at the age of 99 and a half years. Rose was born on June 11, 1904 in Grand Forks, ND. She was a special lady who touched many lives and will be missed by all. Rose’s strength of character will live on through those who love her. She is survived by daughters, Gladys Shuler and Shirley Sheppard; and special son-in-law Mackie Shuler. She is also remembered by three grandchildren, Sandy Shuler, and David and Karen Zaitchik; great-grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Amanda, Brent, and Ross. Rose was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1982. Many thanks for the devotion of Rose’s caregivers, Rosegel and Zeni. Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (1702 – 17 Avenue S.W.) today, April 4, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. Interment to follow in the Jewish Cemetery (30th Avenue & Erlton Street S.W.).
