Obituary of Helen Murray
Helen Campbell Murray passed away peacefully, after a brief, but very brave battle with cancer on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the age of 84.
Born in Eston, SK in 1919, she was raised in Calgary and resided here most of her life. She was active in her church and created a happy and beautiful home for her family.
Helen was much loved by her four sons, Richard (Lise), Stephen, Brian (Wendy), and Ralph (Carmen); her sister, Charlotte Desmond; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Campbell. She is also remembered by nine grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Jas, Taylor, Jeremy, Jason, Jessica, Bradley, Tamara, and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Avery.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1986 and by her second husband Scovil Murray in 1994.
Helen will always be in our hearts; she was a gentle and loving mother. She took great joy in her aqua size and her friends there. She also enjoyed her patio garden and her special cat Chipper.
“Goodbye for now, Mom – you were such a beautiful person; we will miss you terribly.”
Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and a special thanks to Jennifer Lee at the Sarcee Hospice.
