Obituary of John McEwan

Jack passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the age of 84 years with Marion, his loving wife of fifty-seven years, by his side. Jack was born in Florence, Cape Breton and moved to Toronto in 1937. He served in the Toronto Scottish Regiment in WWII, was Past Master of the Remembrance Masonic Lodge and worked as a Supervisor with Canada Post for thirty-six years. Jack and Marion moved to Calgary in 1984 to join their daughters. He had a lifelong love of photography and music and enjoyed bowling and floor curling. He was a member of three seniors’ groups and two legions, #264 and #284. Jack will be greatly missed by his loving wife Marion and his daughters, Maureen (Tony) Trott and Brenda (Roger) Mazzer; four grandchildren, Tanya, Natalie, Danielle, and Tammy; and four great-grandchildren. Jack charmed all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (1102 – 23rd Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M.
