Obituary of Donald Grant Fawcett

Donald (Don) Grant Fawcett, beloved husband of Donna Shaw of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the age of 64 years. Don was born on July 11, 1939 in Portage la Prairie, MB and moved to Calgary as a child. He received his education in Calgary and worked for Canadian Western Natural Gas (ATCO) for thirty-four years. Don retired from there as a Land Man in 1996. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and golfing. Don was a handy man and always had a project on the go, such as making pieces of furniture for his family. Besides his loving wife Donna, Don is survived by two sons, Mark Fawcett and Timothy Fawcett, both of Calgary; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Christopher Osmond of Jamestown, ND; their mother, Lynda O’Connor of Calgary; and Donna’s son and daughter, Scott Shaw and Carla Shaw, both of Edmonton. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Yvonne Fawcett of Lethbridge, AB. Don was predeceased by his parents, Violet and Clarence Fawcett.
