Obituary of Ralph Bertram Byer

Ralph Bertram (Slim) Byer, beloved husband of Mary Jane Byer of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Ralph was born on March 31, 1914 in Kindersley, SK. Besides his loving wife of sixty-two years, Ralph is remembered by a son Roger Byer of Swift Current, SK; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judy and Ron Coate of Medicine Hat, Marlene and Clarence Stuart of Calgary, Linda and Norman Johnston of Water Valley, and Wendy Cronk of Calgary; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by a brother, Vernon Byer of Spruce View, AB; a sister-in-law, Violet Spankie of Calgary; a brother-in-law George (Ruth) Wood of Bowden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, MaryAnn and Samuel Byer, brother Charles Byer and sister Frances Falk. A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 2:30 P.M.
