Obituary of Lloyd William Hill
Lloyd William Hill, beloved husband of Caroline of Calgary, passed away at the McKenzie Towne Retirement Centre on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the age of 84 years.
Lloyd was born on December 10, 1919 in Govan, SK, and farmed there for thirty years. Lloyd married Caroline Brown on March 24, 1951 in Moose Jaw. He was a supporter of the community and minor sports, as well as being active with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Oddfellows Lodge in SK. He and Caroline resided in Delta, BC for many years where Lloyd was a small business operator in Tsawwassen. Lloyd and Caroline have resided in Calgary for the past ten years.
Besides his loving wife Caroline, Lloyd is also survived by his family, Audrey and Peter Pihach of Delta, BC, Gail and Glen Olson of Nakusp, BC, Robert Hill of Enfield, NS, Mary Hill and Bruce McKay of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Anne Hill of Calgary, and Leah Hill of Fort McMurray, AB. Lloyd will be remembered by his six grandchildren, Art Olson, David Olson, Jason Hill, Trevor Hill, Kyle Hill, and Stuart McKay; four great-grandchildren, Jody Olson, Cameron Olson, Timothy Hill, and Rebecca Hill. Lloyd was predeceased by his sister Alice Sparks.
