Obituary of Edgar John Hutchison

Mr. Edgar (Ed) John Hutchison of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the age of 95 years. Ed was born on the family farm in Carstairs, AB on December 1, 1908. He moved to Calgary in his thirties and has resided in the city since that time. His long life and good health can be attributed to his passionate love for the outdoors, hiking and camping well into his eighties. The Jumping Pound Creek/Sibbald Flats area was his favourite place to go for a “weiner roast”, even at ninety-four. His son Lorne and daughter-in-law Glenda and his grandchildren, Darcy and Kaylie, will lovingly remember Ed for being the kind and caring person he was and for all the wonderful memories and life experiences he brought to their lives. Ed was predeceased by his loving wife Hope in 2001. At Ed’s request no funeral service will be held.
