Obituary of Peter Franz Wiens

Peter Franz Wiens of Calgary passed away at the Glamorgan Care Centre on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the age of 67 years. Peter was born in McAuley MB. As a youth he loved to play hockey and baseball and was a member of the Cub Scouts of Canada. Peter worked in the oil patch for several years then began his career with AGT Canada and later Edmonton Telephone. He loved to go to coffee shops to meet with friends. Peter is survived by four brothers, Jake of Tees and John (Carol) of Sherwood Park, David (Hilda) of Calgary and Abe (Joanne) of Calgary; a sister Mary (Russ) of Brandon MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Elizabeth and his brother Henry. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
