Obituary of Jean Margaret Munroe
Jean Margaret Munroe (nee White), died peacefully with her family by her side at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, February 24, 2004.
Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Arnold Munroe, her beloved son Wayne and her brave-hearted brother Donald. Dearest mother to Faye Munroe, and Neil Munroe and wife Barbara. Cherished grandmother (Mema) to grandson Carter Malcolm Wayne Munroe and granddaughter Paula Joelean Munroe. Beloved sister to brother John White and his late wife Betty; sister Lydia McKee (nee White) and her late husband Robert; sister Doreen Gordon (nee White) and husband Bruce; brother Robert White and his late wife Marie. Kind sister-in-law to Mary Tofflemire (nee Munroe) and late husband Charles, and to the late Lloyd Munroe. Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. A cheerful and warm hearted friend to everyone.
Jean’s most important role was as a supportive and encouraging wife and as a mother and grandmother providing tons of love and guidance. She was an accomplished watercolour artist and enjoyed painting English thatched cottages and flowers. She worked closely with her husband as an active member of MADD – Windsor Chapter and Tampa Chapter. Jean attended the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Holland.
