Obituary of Jack Whytock

Jack Whytock of Calgary passed away quietly and at peace at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home, overlooking Fish Creek Park, a favourite place of he and his family on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the age of 91 years. His wife of sixty-two years, Elsie, his sons Kim and Bill, who survive him, honour and revere his memory. His legacy continues in his grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Hannah, and Lauren and their mothers Cheryl and Dana. His career was a source of pride, his skills as a manager and a salesman were well recognized. Jack served his country in The Second World War with the RCNVR on convoy duty in the Atlantic. In retirement, he was a friendly neighbor and participated in a seniors organization, and Elsie and he traveled throughout Asia, Mexico and England. Jack and his dog Pepper, hunted the plains and foothills of Alberta with many friends. Jack was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Florence; a brother Jim, sisters, Elizabeth, Florence, Anne, May, and Margaret.
