Obituary of Gordon James Seright
Gordon James Seright, beloved husband of Yvonne of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Carewest Centre on Thursday, February 5, 2004 after a courageous battle against cancer at the age of 78 years.
Gordon was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railroad as a switchman and was also an able seaman with the Navy. During his time with the Navy between 1939 and 1945, Gordon was awarded the France and Germany Star with Atlantic Clasp, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and a War Medal.
Besides his loving wife Yvonne Gordon is survived by his children, a daughter Penny Weishuhn; two sons Keith and Don Seright; as well as four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Private Family Service was held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. Gordon is resting at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Calgary, in the “Field of Honour.” To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
