Obituary of Thomas Howard Briggs

Thomas (Tom) Howard Briggs, beloved husband of Doreen Briggs of Calgary, passed away suddenly while hunting with his dogs on Saturday, February 7, 2004, at the age of 58 years. Tom was a Chartered Accountant who spent most of his life in public practice as a partner with Ernst and Whinney, and most recently as a sole practitioner. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He excelled at field trialing with his beloved Springer Spaniels Angus, Jasper, and new puppy Tag. Tom had a passion for traveling and most recently he and Doreen traveled to South Africa for a safari. Tom is survived by his loving wife Doreen; daughters Leslie and Kim; and son Joel. He is also survived by two brothers, Chuck (Sylvia) and Lenard; and two sisters, Rachel (Gerry) and Debbie (Peter); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
