Obituary of Mary Gemmel Vidler
Mary Gemmel Vidler (Gramma V.) (nee Kidd) of Cochrane, AB passed away quietly at the Foothills Hospital, on Monday, February 9, 2004, after a severe stroke at the age of 94 years.
Mary enjoyed the closeness and love of her family and friends and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She was an inspiration to all. She had a zest for life and amazing drive with a warm and gentle kindness. We love you Gramma V. Mary is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lorne and Norma Jean Vidler of Cochrane; four grandchildren, Terry McCracken, Scott (Jackie) Vidler, Jayme (Kirstie) Vidler, and Jodi (Chris) Collins; and four great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Ashley, Cale, and Claudia. She is also survived by a sister Ina Greenfield of Saskatoon, SK and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Vernie Victor in 1985; son Murray Dean in 1967; brothers, Art and Ken Kidd; and sister Beth Eggertson.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church in Cochrane at a later date with the Rev. Don Koots officiating. To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
