Obituary of Gordon George Laing
Gordon George Laing, beloved husband of Betty Kingsmith of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the age of 78 years.
Gord was born March 20, 1925 in Winnipeg, MB and served overseas during World War II. He had many interests but first and foremost he was a humanitarian and environmentalist. In his younger days he loved flying, stock car racing, scuba diving, and many other sports. He was an inventor and an entrepreneur. Gord was an active member of the A.C.T. – U.C.T for many years.
Besides his loving wife Betty, Gord is also survived by his two daughters, Ramona (Don) of Stroud, ON and Nansi (Shane) of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren; a sister Doreen of Moosomin, SK; five stepchildren; and thirteen stepgrandchildren.
