Obituary of John Williams

John Williams of Calgary passed away at home on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at the age of 61 years. John was born in Weyburn, SK on November 25, 1942 and lived in SK until 1966 when he moved to Calgary, where he worked in the oil and gas industry, retiring in 2000. His mother and sister came to Canada from the Ukraine in 1935 to join his father, who had arrived in Canada a few years earlier. Although born in SK, John was Ukrainian at heart. He loved to travel, go camping and fishing with his friends and spend time with his family. John was a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada. His smile, laugh and love will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. John is survived by his two nephews, Ben Williams (Judy) of Winfield, BC and John Williams of Calgary; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christine and Ryan Williams of Regina and Jason, Jodine and Jared (Cheryl) of Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Sophie Zincheshin, his loving sister Marion Williams and her husband Ben Williams.
