Obituary of William John Hunter
William John (Jack) Hunter, beloved husband of Bernice (Bea) Hunter of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, January 12, 2004, after a lengthy illness at the age of 76 years.
Jack was born in Calgary on June 17, 1927. He started his working life as a chef with CP Hotels before beginning a long and enjoyable career as a salesman in the gift and tableware industry.
He is lovingly remembered by Bea, his wife of fifty-seven years, and his children, Ron of Red Deer, Rob (Judy), Bill (Karen), and Tammy (Kim Zazula) all of Calgary. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) of Kamloops, BC, Ronda (Jason) Carrier of Lethbridge, AB, Jason (Karen Shypitka), Janae, Heather, Bradley and William; and great-grandchildren Brayden and Noah; three sisters, Jean Mitchell, Kath (Peter) Flack and Marg (Doug) Hull. Jack was predeceased by his parents, William John and Abigail, and two brothers, Robert and Jim.
