Obituary of Alfredo Piccaro
Alfredo Giuseppe Piccaro, beloved husband of Teresa Piccaro of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Center on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the age of 69 years.
Alfredo was born on June 1, 1934 in Torreano Di Cividale, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Alfredo was an Artisan Master Stone Mason whose work is most evident in Banff, the Calgary Zoo Conservatory, Earl Grey Golf Club, the sandstone house at Heritage Park and the McDougall Centre. He had also been an instructor at S.A.I.T.. He loved playing cards, dancing, fishing, and was a proud wine maker.
Besides his loving wife Teresa, Alfredo is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Giuliana and Kenneth McKeeman and Lidia and Tony Izzo; and a granddaughter, Jordana Izzo all of Calgary. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Bruno and Albertina Piccaro of Italy as well as numerous other family members in Canada and Italy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North), on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14 Avenue N.E.), on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Emanuel Buttigieg Presider.
