Obituary of Anita Brinker
Dian Brinker, of Calgary, AB, beloved wife of the late Willard F. (Bill) Brinker, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday, December 11, 2003 at the age of 79 years.
Dian was born on July 19, 1924 in Minerva, OH and educated at Washington High School in Massillon, OH. She spent the first twenty years of her life in Ohio and on November 4, 1944 she married Bill Brinker. Dian lived in Casper, WY during the years of 1944 to 1952, Billings, MT from 1952 to 1958 and 1974 to 1997 and Calgary, from 1958 to 1974 and 1997 to date. Dian was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church, a member of several bridge groups, Geo Wives, and was a hospital volunteer.
Dian is the loving mother of a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Karl (Mary) Brinker of Dallas, TX; and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Jack) Crawford of Calgary; and grandmother of, Andy and Stephanie Brinker, Barb, Cathy, and Dave Crawford. She is also survived by two stepsisters, Ruth Moses of California and Helen (Bob) Hockenberry of Ohio; her loving companion Bob Pott; and dear friend Lillian Currie. Dian was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd E. Fullerton and Velma B. Geis, her husband Willard F. (Bill) Brinker and her dear friend Fay Schey.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells, (2720 Centre Street North), on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 9:00 A.M. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Queen’s Park Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. Funeral Services will follow at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church (4612 Varsity Drive N.W.), on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 4:30 P.M. with the Rev. Hector Rose officiating.
