Obituary of Sylvia Margarita Vega

Sylvia Margarita Vega of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at the age of 31 years. Sylvia was born on March 21, 1972 in Bogota, Colombia. She came to Calgary on January 16, 2001 where she began to work at Silver City Cinemas and in November of 2002, she started working at North Pointe ATB Financial as a customer service representative. Sylvia loved music and singing and especially enjoyed cooking desserts for her family and friends. She was one of those people who could brighten anyone’s day with her enthusiasm and zest for life. She always had a smile for anyone who came across her path. Besides her loving fiancÚ Earl Heeg, Sylvia is survived by her parents, German and Margarita of Colombia; a brother and sister-in-law, Eduardo and Nathalie of Calgary; a sister Anita of Colombia; a grandmother Elvia de Vega and a grandfather Hernando Clavijo, both of Colombia; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Eduardo Vega and grandmother Delfina Vergara de Clavijo. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (2519 Edmonton Trail N.E.) on Monday, December 15, 2003 at 12:00 with the Rev. Salvador M. Ahumada, Presider.
