Obituary of Della Irene Thompson

Della Irene Thompson of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Carewest Royal Park Nursing Home on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at the age of 99 years. Della was born in San Bernardino, California on May 13, 1904. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Glen (Gwyn) of Didsbury, and Bryce of Calgary. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Rory (Tim), Terry (Gary), David (Michele) and Cameron (Bev). Della is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; Kimberly (Shane), Kelly, Avy, MacKenzie, Lisa, Cara, Brett, Julia and a special friend, Jim Clapson. She was predeceased by her husband David in March, 1993 and by her son Osborne in June, 1943. Special thanks to Dr. Eliason and the staff at the Royal Park Nursing Home for their loving care. A Memorial Service will be held at the Didsbury United Church, on Sunday December 14, 2003 at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Nancy Nourse officiating.
