Obituary of Clifford Louis Gugins
Clifford Louis (Cliff) Gugins, beloved husband of Helen Gugins of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2003, at the age of 89 years.
Cliff was born September 24, 1914 in Melville, SK. and has resided in Calgary since 1928. He was a general building contractor and was a member of Calgary’s first House Builders Association, a long time member of the downtown Lion’s Club, and a Scout Leader of St. Stephen’s Scout Troop. He had a great love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed time with family, friends and his garden.
Besides his loving wife of 60 years, Cliff is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Maureen Gugins of Calgary; two daughters and son-in-laws, Carol and Michael Hare of Mississauga, ON, and Shirley and Ron Reid of Sherwood Park, AB; four grandchildren, Kevin Hare of Berkeley, CA, Warren Hare of Burnaby, BC, Robert Reid of Sherwood Park, AB, and Kathy and her husband Bob Hendren of Sherwood Park, AB. He is also survived by a brother, Harold Gugins of Kingston, ON, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North), on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev.
