Obituary of Rebecca Ann Stark-Hansen

Rebecca Ann (Becky) Stark-Hansen (nee Robertson) of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the age of 49 years. Rebecca was born in Calgary on April 29, 1954. Together with her family, her younger years were spent in the United States, later returning to Calgary where she completed her high school education, graduating from Lord Beaverbrook High School in the spring of 1972. She continued with post-secondary education, graduating from the University of Alberta in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) and in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Rebecca worked for several years as an accountant in the oil and gas industry. She was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 1994 and she overcame many obstacles, allowing her nine special years to spend with her children. Rebecca is survived by her children, Elizabeth Stark, Daniel Stark, Sarah Hansen, and Eric Hansen, all of Calgary; her father and step-mother Glenn and Della Robertson of San Diego, CA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Sue Robertson, and Doug and Caroline Robertson, all of Calgary; and a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jim Hansen of Okotoks, AB. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Robertson in 1978.
