Obituary of Frances Isabel Hillson
Frances Isabel Hillson, of Calgary, passed away at the Chinook Care Centre on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at the age of 93 years.
Frances was born on June 14, 1910 at Carnduff, SK. She began farming with her husband Fraser Hillson, after they married and continued for many years following his passing in 1955. Frances spent many years teaching in various communities across Saskatchewan: Carnduff, Briercrest, Fort Qu’Appelle, South Regina and Woodman. She loved teaching and her students and had many fond memories from those years. Frances spent her last fifteen years at the Renoir, a resident since it’s opening. She will be dearly missed by her family.
She is remembered by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Beth and Bob Lipsett, Jane and Val Pratico of Calgary; grandchildren Tim (Mia), Laura, David, Ben; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her close friend Dr. I. Hardin.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev.
