87 wonderful years in Calgary We remember with love and celebrate the life of our dear Mother/Grandmother who passed away peacefully in Invermere, BC with family by her side on Friday, February 24, 2017. A lifelong proud Calgarian, Mom enjoyed many happy memories at their cattle ranch in Millarville, winter vacations in Hawaii and cherished family gatherings at the family cabin. Marion will be remembered as a spectacular wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Don and Marion’s Britannia home of over 60 years always had open doors to special people throughout their lives. Mom was an avid horseback rider, lifelong member of the Glencoe Club, golfer at the Calgary Golf and Country Club and volunteer of many years at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. She is survived by her children Jim Irvine (Karen), Joanne Irvine (Vernon), Judy Gibbs (Nick), Jeff Irvine and Grandchildren Stephanie (Nelson), Katie, Natalie, Janelle (Austin), Andrew and Ted. Mom will also be missed by her furry companions Sophie and Annie. We will remember Mom/Grandma fondly as a sweet soul, a true friend and for her lifelong devotion to the love of her life, Don. We will miss you so much, you are forever in our hearts and thanks for sharing a Great Life! A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 – 8th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
