Condolences
Mom:
I remember your excitement when you and Al first started seeing each other and how happy I was for you. I know how much joy he brought to your life. The interests you shared – dancing, cross country skiing, dinner club and so much more – it was wonderful to see how happy you were and that you had found a life partner. He was Grandpa Al to Eric, and some of Eric’s favourite times were visiting you, especially during Stampede. It’s been a blessing to us to know Tom and Janice and Linda, and have them as part of our family. I can only say that I can empathize with their loss having lost Dad two years ago. And yes, you will always miss him. I hope that you have wonderful memories and that you can reminisce with family and friends about all the good times that you shared. We hold you in our hearts and in our prayers. Sheila, David and Eric.
My deepest sympathies are with you during this time of loss Barb. I hope you can find reassurance in the care of your friends, and allow the loving memories you have of Al to help you through this time.
My condolences to Barbara and to Alan’s family and friends on his passing. When I was looking for a treasurer to help with my aldermanic campaign in 1992, Alan generously offered his help. I hope Alan was rewarded with a healthy and happy journey through life. I’m certain he was a loving husband, father and friend.
Dear Barb and Family. It is with a sad heart that I hear of your loss. Oh how I wish I could be there with you to share in your sadness. All those years ago when my Son Troy and I visited from Australia, the friendship extended to us by Al and yourself was amazing. You both opened your hearts and your life to us and it was a great pleasure to continue this friendship for many years. It was with great pride that I returned with other family members to also share this friendship with Al. Barb you are a beautiful person with a heart of an Angel. You have been an exceptional wife, friend and companion to Al. You especially, as we all do, will miss Al immensely, but remember all the good times and memories as you face each new day. I have so many wonderful memories forever embedded in my heart. The Calgary Stampede breakfasts that we shared and who could ever forget our visit to Spruce Meadows to name just a couple. It was an honour to be a part of Al’s life and I cherish every memory I have of him. Australia is so far away at this sad time but my loving thoughts are with you and a promise that I will see you soon. Love from your Australian Family and Rest in Peace Al. Love you forever Barb.
Barbara, what a sad loss for you and your families. He was always fun and had a great story to tell. I am very sad to have to say good bye to our friend, Al. May he rest in peace.
Dad we had such a healing time over New year’s for which I am very grateful for. Rest in peace I love you and miss you already. Linda xoxoxox
Our condolences to Barb and her children Blair and Sheila.
To Al’s children: Tom, Linda and Michael – we are sorry for your loss.
We have known Al and Barb for over 30 years and enjoyed many occasions together; whether it be playing golf in the early days or sitting down to share a meal. We will miss his stories related to his wide ranging interests over a lifetime.
