Someone losing their father is one of the most difficult things they will have to go through. The bond between a son and their dad is profound and everlasting. The loss of a father can bring about not only feelings of loss and grief, but also fear. We often view our father’s as protecting us and so that loss can affect our feeling of safety. Overall though the strongest emotion will be grief.

Life doesn’t seem fair sometimes and this is one of those moments. My father was one of the good guys. I will miss him terribly.

Losing your dad can be extremely difficult because you are losing a source of strength, stability and consistency in your life. My dad was a wise man, but at the same time, he had a great sense of humor. There is not a grieving message that can express how much he meant to me. My heart is aching.

Heartfelt sympathy and loving thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

This past week my thoughts have been flooded with loving memories of my brother Leroy. Growing up on a farm at Endeavour, SK, we had many adventures with horse drawn toboggan rides, digging snow tunnels, card games and spending summer holiday at our sister Irene’s farm.

My husband, John, and our children have many memories of visiting Leroy and enjoying his fantastic meals. They also send their sympathy to Karen and her family.

I will miss my brother forever but take comfort in my memories.

We were so sorry to hear about Uncle Leroy, he will be dearly missed. We are grateful that he was able to spend time with our family throughout his life. Our children remember many good times with him as well. Sending our love and condolences to you and the family.
