Condolences
To Bob, Joan & Stephanie and your extended families:
I heard of Mark’s passing early on the morning of May 31. Although I haven’t been in touch with Mark for a number of years, I always considered him a good friend. I knew Mark as a teammate and a classmate. His spirit and friendship will remain in my memory. Although his fun loving nature could go overboard at times, you knew he was only looking to make a connection; and he did. I am saddened to have lost a friend. I offer my condolences to the three of you and, of course, to his wife and children. Rest in Peace, Mark.
To : Bahairvi,Morgan,Maya, Robbie, Joan, Stephanie & Family

On behalf of the entire rugby community we would like to offer our condolences to the Johnston family, and our deepest thanks for the time we had with Mark.
Mark, or PIE as many of us knew him, made a positive and lasting impression on thousands of rugby players, coaches, officials and supporters in Calgary over several decades. From winning championships, to mentoring youth, to making sure everything at the Calgary Rugby park was in order, Mark’s contributions were many and invaluable. We will all be grateful for time spent with PIE on and off the field, and he will be remembered in the hearts of all who shared the sport he loved with him.
Mark’s loving family, and the many lives he touched, will be a living legacy that we are all grateful for.
Wish I had gotten to know you better, my friend.
Condolences to Mark’s family and friends.
