Obituary of VAN DONGEN

July, 17, 1922 – Strathmore, Alberta May, 15, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Hubert Van Dongen of Calgary, passed away at the Father Lacombe Care Centre on May 15, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Hubert was born on July 17, 1922 in Strathmore, Alberta and he received his primary education at the Father Lacombe School. He was raised in Strathmore and since April of 1971, Hubert resided at the Father Lacombe Care Center. Hubert is survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Bartholmeus and Pieternella (Bruurs), brothers, Joe and Peter; his sister, Sister. M. Bernarda (Kathleen) as well as his two infant sisters, also named Kate. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Father Lacombe Care Center Chapel (270 Providence Blvd. SE) on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow directly after the service at the Strathmore Cemetery.
