Obituary of Emily Millie VOLB

May 28, 1919 – Rosthern, Saskatchewan April 8, 2016 – High River, Alberta Millie Volb of High River, Alberta, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016 at the age of 96 years. Millie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was caring and supportive in everything that each of her family members did. Her family and her home were her greatest achievements. She was a member of the Lutheran church and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Millie loved to knit and crochet and play those good ole penny slots, bingo and dancing. She was a huge fan of the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Blue Jays. Millie is survived by her loving daughter, Donna and Ian MacGregor; and her devoted son, Trevor Volb; her grandchildren, Kathy MacGregor (Terry Lancaster), Philip MacGregor, Tracy Volb, Kevin MacGregor (Stacey Wicks) and Darryl Volb; her precious great-grandchildren, Justin Duffill & Alexandra MacGregor, Dylan MacGregor, Sophia MacGregor and Chloe MacGregor. She is survived by her sister in law, Olga Poffenroth. The family would like to thank the High River Hospital, 3rd floor staff and Dr. Anton Nel. Millie was predeceased by her loving husband Rudy Volb, and her son, Terry Volb. She is also predeceased by her special pets, Fancy, and Buddy “the security dog”. “We cannot change the wind, but we can set the sails.” Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E.) on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m..
