Obituary of Patrick Pat STASENSKI

November 30, 1956 – Winnipeg, MB March 30, 2016 – Edmonton, AB Patrick Stasenski, beloved husband of Elaine of Calgary, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 30, 2016 at the age of 59. Pat, also known as “Yellow Grampa”, loved every moment spent with his Most Favourite Little Guy and Girl. He had a love of sports, and spent his life playing, coaching and watching hockey, curling, softball and golf. He also had a love of the outdoors; camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Whether in the kitchen or enjoying a night out at dinner theatre with his wife Elaine, family and friends; Pat had a love for food. Working with Loblaws for over 30 years he built many relationships and was a true example of hard work and dedication. Most recently, he worked with United Farmers of Alberta. He is survived by children Kevin Hope, Sara (Jerod) Minshull and grandchildren Hunter and Aria; siblings Michael (Barb Anderson) Stasenski of Winnipeg, MB and Suzanne Stasenski of Westminster, BC. He is also survived by mother-in-law Anne Kennedy, Sharon (Stephen) Thomas, William (Serena) Kennedy, Alison (Chris) Bailey and nieces and nephews. As well as numerous extended family and friends. He is predeceased by Stanley and Shirley Stasenski of Winnipeg, MB, William Kennedy, Lorne Crocker, and his pets Whiskers and Snickers. Thank you to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the doctors and nurses for their care of Pat. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
