Obituary of Gloria Kathleen DYNES

July 23, 1930 – Montreal, Quebec March 18, 2016 – Red Deer, Alberta Gloria Dynes passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Gloria was tremendously charitable and she supported many causes over her lifetime, including the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Liver Foundation, BCM International, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 100 Huntley Street, World Vision, and the Canadian Bible Society. Gloria is survived by five children, Stephen, Ruth, Mark, Laura, and Tim; nine grandchildren, Allan, Crystal, Amanda, Danika, Kirsten, Tara, Amber, Sean and Tina; as well as several great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Dorothy. She was predeceased by her husband James Horace Dynes on March 8, 2004 and her son Philip John Edward Dynes. Funeral Services will be held at Crescent Heights Baptist Church (1212 – 1st Street NW) on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will place Gloria’s urn with Jim’s urn at Queen’s Park Mausoleum on a later date.
