Obituary of Joyce Marguerite MONTY

MONTY, Joyce Marguerite October 23, 1922 – Ninfield, England February 17, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Joyce Monty of Calgary, AB passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Joyce grew up in England, moved to Canada in 1947 where she resided in Edmonton and then Calgary. Joyce spent her time raising her family & caring for others. She was proudly recognized with an award for volunteer services in the Land Army during the war. Mum loved music, movies, laughter and strawberry sundaes. In England during her younger years, she loved to sneak away to watch motorcyclists compete in daring acts. In Edmonton she loved the weekends at lakes and snowmobiling. Enjoying cherished times with her family, and friendships with the Clark and Reinke families were very dear to her heart. She was always proud of the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren . Joyce is survived by her three children Carol (Paul) Janett, Donna (Rick) Wagner, Robert (Lesli) Monty. Grandchildren Kimberly, Dayna, Joel. Great Grandchildren Ava, Oliver, Tanysha, Decklyn, & Natalya She was loved for her easy-going nature and gentle soul. We will all miss her dearly. There will be no service held.
