Obituary of Denis Terreince GENEST

March 14, 1926 – Fort Macleod, Alberta January 21, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with sadness that the family of Denis Genest announces his sudden passing on January 21, 2016, in Calgary. He was predeceased by Katherine, his wife of fifty years, in 2005. Denis leaves behind five children, Darrel (Diana), Denny, Duncan, Darcy (Shannon) and Donna; as well as his three grandchildren, Garrett, Kurt and Katie. He is also survived by four siblings in Quebec: Patrick, Roger, Rene and Yvette, and was predeceased by Omer, Lawrence, Armand, Wilfrid, Guy and Anita. Denis was born and raised in Fort Macleod, Alberta, a town that held many special memories for him. He eventually moved to Calgary where he met and married Kay, and raised his family. Dad will always be remembered as a hard worker, a dedicated family man, and a truly fine person. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W.) on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park.
