Obituary of Joey Poucette

September 25, 1977– Rocky Mountain House, Alberta December 26, 2015– Morley, Alberta Joey was called home by our Creator on Saturday December 26, 2015 at the age of 38 years. Joey leaves behind a son, Grady; parents, Darrel Shortneck and Ina Poucette; siblings, Kelly (Heather), Delina (Dustin), Curtis, Darrellen (Faron), Lillian, Charlie, Farrell (Janine); adopted dad Cameron Hunter; adopted siblings, Lee Rider, Shane Simeon, Trudy Young, Lyle Tootoosis; nineteen nephews, eleven nieces, two great-nephews, two great-nieces; aunts, Mina (Carl), Beatrice, Annie, Zalinda and Ethel; uncles, Mark (Francis), John, David (Valerie) and Garrett; also numerous extended family members of the Shortneck, Wesley, Rain, Big Child, Iron Bow, Red Calf, Whitford, McGilvery, Mackinaw and Firingstone families. Predeceased by maternal grandparents Beatrice and Doug Poucette; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Marjorie Shortneck and sister Glenna Poucette. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Ina and Darrel (Morley, AB) on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Center (Morley, AB) on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
