Obituary of Margaret Liane McHardy

March 3, 1954 – Lethbridge, Alberta December 18, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Liane McHardy (nee Brink), loving mother of Booker McHardy, passed away suddenly in Calgary on December 18, 2015. Liane will be remembered for her love of literature, music, culinary skills, good debates and her cats Zola and Kerouac. In her youth, Liane was an avid tennis player, water skier and downhill skier, but needed to be bribed to go on hikes. She also enjoyed adventure and travel. In her later years she enjoyed raising her wonderful son Booker. She is predeceased by her parents Beryl and Andrew Brink. She is survived by her son Booker McHardy, siblings David Brink, Deborah deCocq (Tim), Stephen Brink (Lori) and Carol Birk (Tux), as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, December 29th from 2-5pm at the McKenzie Lake Beach Club, 16199 McKenzie Lake Way SE.
