Obituary of Patrick William GORMLEY

February 10, 1962 – Calgary, Alberta December 4, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Pat Gormley of Calgary passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the age of 53 years. Pat worked with the University of Calgary with the Grounds Department for nearly thirty years. He enjoyed sports of all sorts, walks by the river with Deb, playing his guitar, and his cat Snooker. Pat took great pride in his home and in his beautiful yard where he loved to grow his nummy tomatoes. He was a kind, smart, generous and loving man, who was dedicated to his family and friends. Pat is survived by his loving partner and best friend Debbie Duguay and her daughter Jamie. He is also survived by his parents William Gormley and Judith Stableford; sisters Kelly (Jeff), Zackary (Dave); his beautiful little nieces Ailish and Owyn; Uncle “Butch”; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; Debbie’s very loving family, as well as many close and caring friends; he was a wonderful father figure to James. He was predeceased by his beloved dog Friday. He will be missed so much. A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
