Obituary of Christopher Lee Hughes Shrek SMITH

SMITH, Christopher Lee Hughes “Shrek” January 18, 1973 – November 27, 2015 Christopher “Shrek” Smith beloved son, father, brother and friend, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the age of 42 years. Christopher was born in Thunder Bay, ON and made his home in Calgary, AB. He was known as “Shrek” to many and was a body piercer by trade. He loved being called a freak and enjoyed poking holes in his friends. His motto was “Your pain is my pleasure”. “Shrek” loved the outdoors and enjoyed quading, camping, and spending time with his loved ones and friends. He was a big man with an even bigger heart and will be truly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him. Chris is survived by his son, Austin Smith; his daughter, Trynity Rowland-Smith; his parents, Holly Hughes and Greg Smith of Wawa, ON; and his younger brother, Greg Smith of Sault St. Marie, ON. As well as his “adopted” family members which were numerous. A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
