Obituary of Victoria Mary LAMMLE

LAMMLE, Victoria Mary (nee Stankievech) April 18, 1917 – Huxley, Alberta November 23, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Victoria Lammle passed away peacefully at the age of 98, at her Walden Heights Seniors Home, Calgary, AB. Vicki was born April 18, 1917 to Ambrose and Antonia Stankievech in Huxley, AB. She grew up in the Huxley area with six brothers and one sister. She married William Lammle and two sons were born, Barry and Douglas. They lived in Banff, Field, Trochu, and later farmed in the Huxley/Trochu area before making their home in Calgary. Vicki spent her career working as a hair dresser for a number of years, then worked in Retail for years and was always a helping hand to her sons in business. She was a great-grandmother, a grandmother, a mother, auntie and great-auntie to many. She loved to travel, had a green thumb, and was talented at needlework and paper toile. Vicki was a wonderful hostess, loved to cook and entertain. She lived a wonderful life. Vicki is remembered by her two sons Barry and Doug. Barry and Marie with grandchildren Kari Lammle Carr (Cody), great-grandson Davin, Jeff Lammle (Trisha), great-grandson Kellen, David Lammle. Doug and Audrey with granddaughter Amanda Lammle Jackman (Scot), great-grandson Benjamin, step grandson Matt Abrahams. She is also survived by her brother Aaron. Leaving to mourn are brother Aaron, and sister-in-laws Margret, Verna and Loreena, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and a multitude of friends. Victoria is predeceased by her brothers Stanley, John, Leo, Walter, George, and sister Ruth. Funeral Services will be held at Deer Park United Church (77 Deerpoint Rd. S.E. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at Trochu Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through .
