Obituary of George Harry MORGAN

MORGAN, George Harry April 27, 1929 – Nelson, British Columbia September 4, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta George of Calgary, passed away on September 4, 2015 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Nelson, BC on April 27, 1929 and lived there until 1955. Son of Elsie Jane Morgan and father John Burton Morgan who both predeceased him. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Very proud of his family – keeping in touch with them, encouraging them and attending band concerts, graduations, hockey games and baseball games. His dedication to community building through philanthropy and volunteerism made him well known to many in Calgary and High River. He was the owner of Morgan’s Hearing Aid along with wife Rae for 25 years. He enjoyed a career as a hearing aid audiologist for 35 years. 10 years in Vancouver, BC and 25 years in Calgary, AB. George married Rae Edgar in 1953. He is survived by his children Ruth (Grant) Fullmer, Scott Morgan, Brian (Kim) Morgan and Anne (Stuart) Patterson; 12 grandchildren Scott, Amanda, Emily, Victoria, Faith, Grace, Beth, Jack, Lukas, Blake, Justin, Paige and 5 great-grandchildren Kate, Ethan, Boston, Lucy, Everett. Funeral Services will be held at HIGH RIVER UNITED CHURCH (123 McLeod Trail, High River, AB) on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 1:05 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
