Dear Morley, Sadie and Gabe. I am so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was THE most positive woman I will ever meet. Such a fighter. And how she fought with such grace and fierce determination. My deepest sympathy to you Morley, Sadie and Gabriel on the loss of your precious wife and mother. Ruth was a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of getting to know her well just before she went on her leave through our many conversations. Her energy and smile were infectious. She shared many wonderful stories about her life and the three of you and in turn she listened attentively to my stories of my hubby and boys. She truly loved you all and was very proud. It was a pleasure having known Ruth and I am deeply saddened by her passing.

I was lucky enough to work with Ruth at the City.
It was easy to work with Ruth because she was so positive and always happy to help. She cared about people, and that came through in her work.
She was such a lovely person, and I looked forward to our chats. I loved hearing stories about her kids because she loved to talk about them. She shared in my excitement when I was expecting my first and shared many tidbits about her son and daughter. Her love and pride for you was obvious.
My thoughts have been of Ruth and her family since I heard the news and I am so very sorry for your loss.
Dear Morley and family,
Thinking of you all during this difficult time. I haven’t seen or spoken to Ruth in ages, however I remember her smile & laughter. She was a big ray of light with loads of positive energy. I feel very lucky to have met her. Bless you all.
Rest in Peace Ruth.
Morley, Sadie and Gabriel,
I was so saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was taken from us way too early. I was so fortunate to have her as part of one of my teams when I was in HR and I wish I had a fraction of her drive, energy and zest for life. Ruth was also a great resource to me personally as my son was a year younger than Sadie and she also had ideas and suggestions on courses, programs and activities for me to consider. Our deepest condolences are with you.
David, Sherri and Nick
Morley, Sadie and Gabriel,
Ruth meant the world to me. We shared so many great times together as colleagues and friends at the City of Calgary. She demonstrated over and over again what it meant to be a true HR professional. I never worried when Ruth was involved in whatever the issue was that we were dealing with. She taught me so much about being a sunny “Yellow” personality full of positive energy.
We all knew that you were her world and inspiration as she was our inspiration. Thank you for sharing her.
I am so sorry that I will not be able to join you on the 22nd in remembering Ruth. I will be on the other side of the country in Newfoundland but you can rest assured that my heart will be full thinking of Ruth and you.
My deepest condolences.
Joan Kennedy
Morley, Sadie and Gabriel There is no way I can know your pain. I certainly don’t need to tell you what a wonderful wife, mother and woman she was. Her desire to live was solely to be with you. She didn’t feel anything she did was too difficult or too much for her to do because she loved you (and knew how much she was loved by her) I first met her at City Hall when we both worked in HR and immediately I saw her strength and love for humanity. The past few years she spent quiet hours with me affirming her faith and determining she would be well as long as possible. You saw that strength. She said once “I have my strength because I know I am a miracle. Her belief in God and prayer and your love was what sustained her.” You are a wonderful family.
‘What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us.’

A beautiful spirit, Ruth. God bless her and everyone she loved and touched with her bright shining energy and presence. A rare bird, singing an inspiring song. Thank you Ruth for impacting us with your gracious and joyful ways. You will live on forever.
Sending our love to each of you.
