The family of John Patrick Flood, age 69, is immeasurably saddened to announce his passing after a valiant and heroic 18 month battle with lung cancer.
At the time of his retirement from CP Rail after 41 years of service in 2005, John was heading up the Project Management function. He was always a meticulous planner professionally and personally, was renowned for his wickedly funny and dry sense of humour, his love of golf and his devotion to Linda (not necessarily in that order).
John was the adored “I’ll always have your back,” husband and partner of 47 years to Linda Ann Flood (nee Valcamp), the much beloved father and father-in-law to Lori Flood (Stephen), Kerri Flood (Paul) and Jonathan Flood (Heather), a loving Poppa to his grandchildren Emma, Benjamin, Liam, Joshua and James. He was predeceased by his parents Larry and Yvonne Flood of Verdun, QC.
